THERE WILL BE BLOOD!

What is Bloody Woman?

If you have 7 minutes:

If you have 3 minutes:

All genders have unique struggles, our focus is on the issues, inequalities and stigma people face because of their period. We are here for awareness, to give back, to inform, challenge, learn from and help progress views around menstruation.

The beauty of menstrual blood on paper forms women in the eye of the artist, who she brings to life for the viewer. Each artwork is a one of a kind NFT. Delve into our NFTs and their associated information, check out the charities we support and read our medium article.

Our first collection of 10 NFTs focusses on Inspirational Women from history through to today. Our second collection will feature 100 Bloody Women NFTs, to be released over the coming months. 15% of Collection Two will go to relevant charities who support people in period poverty.

As the natural blood resource is scarce, Collection One and Two have no option other than to be limited. We plan for our future collections to take greater advantage of technology to improve accessibility to the work, and allow for greater artistic freedom. Your early contribution will lay the foundation to move the project forward whilst supporting the basic rights of those who menstruate.

We are collecting experiences and difficulties relating to your period. If you have had any negative experience you wish to submit, please head to the 'Share Your Experience' section for full information and terms.  All submissions are anonymous.

Bloody Woman herself is a qualified and award-winning artist who has decided to strip her personal identity from the project. This is for self-protection purposes, due to threats received from the sensitive nature of her previous work.

Previously, Bloody Woman has explored 2D art and photography, performance, film and installation, and has interests in art mediums that hold concepts, meaning and purpose. Women artists that Bloody Woman finds inspirational are Marina Abramović, Carolee Schneemann and Frida Kahlo, alongside many inspirational NFT artists fighting for equality on Twitter.
